mulch was shoveled
wheelbarrow was filled,
manuevered and guided
to hungry
flowers and beds
now blooming
with joy and abundance…
today, back is suffering
life’s oddities and troubles
joined an overzealous
party of one
and were sent south
to muscle groups
who responded
unwelcoming
with a tightening
disruption
